Ed graduated from the University of Iowa in 1969 with a degree in Economics. He earned the professional designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1973, and was president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa in 2003–2004. Ed has been an independent agent since 1968 and has written all types of policies including personal, business, and specialty. He is very active in his community, including with his church, the YMCA, Hospice, and Rotary. Ed is a JCI Senator and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was chosen as the Outstanding Young Agent in Iowa in 1978 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. He has also been a leader in Insurance Agency Automation. He received his Certified Aviation Insurance Professional designation in 2007. Ed currently lives in Oskaloosa, Iowa with his wife, Dorothy.

Ed was named the Outstanding Insurance Agent of the Year in 2008 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. He was also chosen as Business Person of the Year by the Oskaloosa Chamber and Development Group in 2007.

Steve graduated from the University of Iowa in 1968 with a degree in Finance & Insurance. After serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps Steve joined his father in the insurance agency in 1972. He earned the professional designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) in 1977, and was chosen as the Young Agent of the Year in 1977 by the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa. Steve is a pilot. He is active in church and civic affairs, including chairman of the Oskaloosa Airport Commission and secretary of the Oskaloosa Sunrise Kiwanis Club. Steve and his wife, Cyndi, have a daughter, Becky, and a son, Jeff.

In 2007 Steve received the President's Citation from the Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa for his work as chairman of the Education Committee.

Angie has been with Butler-Brown Insurance since 2001 and achieved her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2009. As the personal lines manager she is licensed in life health, personal lines and commercial lines and helps people with a variety of personal insurance. Angie is married to Craig Stanley and they have two sons, Hunter and Luke.

Lisa is a licensed insurance agent and has been with Butler-Brown Insurance since 2001. She is the aviation manager specializing in antique aviation insurance servicing customers all over the United States and also takes care of the agency's non-resident licensing. Lisa and her husband Darrin have two daughters, Rachel and Kelsey.

Margaret is a licensed insurance agent, focusing on Commercial Insurance.  She transferred to Butler-Brown Insurance from MidWestOne Bank in Pella, where she has been a Retail Managing Officer since 2008.  Before her banking career which included several years at US Bank in New Sharon, she spent 10 years at the Financial Guardian Insurance Agency in Des Moines.  Margaret is Past President of the Pella Chamber of Commerce, and serves on several other Non-Profit Boards.  She is a member of the Oskaloosa Sunrise Kiwanis Club, and lives outside of New Sharon with her husband, Earl.  They have a son, Tom, a daughter, Mindy, and 3 grandchildren.
